Vanderbilt forward James Siakam scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Commodores coach Kevin Stallings became the school's all-time wins leader with an 80-69 win over Lipscomb on Friday night. Stallings won his 279th career game for Vanderbilt (2-0) in front of a crowd of 8,416. The victory moves Stallings ahead of Roy Skinner, who coached Vanderbilt from 1958-76. Siakam's scoring and rebounding totals were both career highs for the junior from Cameroon. Vanderbilt senior forward Rod Odom also matched a career high with 20 points. J.C. Hampton led Lipscomb (1-2) with 21 points. Crosstown foe Lipscomb gave Vanderbilt trouble early, taking a 48-46 lead with 10:56 to go before Vanderbilt pulled away in the second half. Vanderbilt scored 20 of the final 32 points in the game.
