Tonight, the Purdue Boilermakers handled Western Michigan 80-37. The entire team played well, but the highlight of the game was a fast break dunk by senior point guard Lewis Jackson. On the surface, it looks like a typical dunk. However, when you look at the size of Jackson, it makes it more impressive.
Jackson is 5’9 at his absolute tallest. I’d put him at about 5’7 though. He showed no problems getting up to the rim and even managed a nice rim pull.
Purdue fans have been awaiting this moment ever since Jackson came to West Lafayette. Too bad it occurred on the day before Thanksgiving, which meant Mackey Arena was not even close to full.
Either way, it’s an impressive dunk made even better by the diminutive stature of Jackson.

When projecting Purdue’s lineup prior to this season, I would not have guessed Donnie hale would redshirt. In fact, I was caught off guard. This decision has benefits and downsides, but I still can’t support the decision to redshirt Donnie Hale. Here’s my analysis of this issue:
