Syracuse senior center Baye Moussa Keita has been an important role player for the Orange for the past three seasons and figures to get even more time on the floor in his final year in upstate New York. But while he may be a fan favorite in Orange country, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t felt coach Jim Boeheim’s wrath. At ACC Media Days, he decided to show us just what it’s like getting yelled for not covering the corner of Syracuse’s famous 2-3 zone. I’m not really sure he nails Boeheim’s voice, but he does a pretty good job mimicking his facial expressions. Let’s hope coach has a sense of humor.

Keita does best Boeheim impression

Syracuse may have moved from the Big East to the ACC, but one thing hasn't changed: The sound of getting chewed out by Orange coach Jim Boeheim. For those of us who don't know what that's like, Syracuse senior center Baye Moussa Keita gave us a taste with his best Boeheim impression on Wednesday at ACC Media Day. OK, so the West African accent may throw you off, but...

Boeheim on ACC Media Days vs. Big East: ‘Same s***, further south’

When asked about heading to Charlotte for ACC Media Days instead of New York for the Big East, Jim Boeheim dropped a classic quote.

Syracuse Coach Jim Boeheim On ACC Media Day: “Same ****, Further South”

It took Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim a few months to come around on the idea of his school leaving the Big East for the ACC. Now that SU has officially joined its new league, he apparently doesn’t even notice a difference – at least not at the conference’s media day. Boeheim dropped a hilarious quote on Syracuse.com’s Mike Waters: Jim Boeheim on the ACC media day...

FizzCast Spotlight: Running Backs Coach DeAndre Smith

Syracuse has racked up 685 rushing yards over its last two games. Jerome Smith, Prince-Tyson Gulley and Terrel Hunt ran the ball collectively for over nine yards a pop against NC State on Saturday. Terrel Hunt Must Improve Passing Ability to Keep Bowl Game Chances Alive

Photo by Ron Pradetto Syracuse rolls into practice this week with high spirits after their first ACC win against N.C. State. The rushing attack and offensive line meshed very well to gain a whopping 362 yards on the ground, while the defense played great in their first game without starting CB Keon Lyn. However, the major glare in the box score comes in the passing department, where...

It's Probably Too Late To Buy Those Syracuse Vs. Duke Tickets

Individual game tickets for Syracuse Orange basketball season-ticket holders went on sale Tuesday and boy, did you all create a frenzy, says Joe Giansante, the university's chief athletic communications officer. The mad rush by season-ticket holders left little left for the general public, who get a shot at buying tickets this morning starting at 10 a.m. By then, expect SU to...

Duke Blue Devils against Syracuse Orange

The best team coming in to the ACC from the Big East is Syracuse; they have been good under Jim Boeheim with 34 twenty-win seasons in his 36 years as coach.  They have won one national championship under Boeheim, and last season made another trip to the Final Four.  They will be just as good in the ACC as they were in the Big East. They lost a key piece to their team a season ago...

Syracuse Vs. Georgia Tech: Still No Word On Dyshawn Davis' Ankle

Syracuse Orange linebacker Dyshawn Davis' injured ankle is still getting evaluated and a status on the junior's player status is still unknown, head coach Scott Shafer told the local media Thursday morning. Earlier in the week, Shafer said Davis' injury wasn't serious and he should not miss this Saturday's game versus Georgia Tech. Though, as the week has progressed...

Boeheim Believes Best Chance To Win Is 'Bottom Line' In Anthony's Free Agency

Carmelo Anthony has made it clear that he will test free agency next offseason, and his former college coach at Syracuse, Jim Boeheim, believes Anthony is right to consider all options. Ultimately, Boehiem believes, the bottom line to Anthony's free agency will come down to his best chance to win an NBA championship. "The problem for Carmelo right now, and Kevin Durant,...

ACC Media Day and New Rules Time

Pitt was picked to finish sixth in the ACC this year. Seems about the right range. Upper-half, NCAA bid. Safely within two spots of where they might finish come the end of the season. 1. Duke (50)        805 2. Syracuse (3)   753 3. North Carolina (1)       668 4. Virginia            612 5. Notre Dame  608 6. Pitt    477 7. Maryland        473...
