West Virginia lost to Syracuse 63-61 on Saturday, in the midst of fireworks over a blatant blown call.
With the Mountaineers trailing, Truck Bryant missed a three-point shot that would've given West Virginia the lead. Deniz Kilicli, however, rebounded the miss and went up for what would have been a game-tying shot. However, his attempt was pinned against the backboard by Syracuse's Baye Keita. It was was an obvious goal-tend, and the three officials on the floor swallowed their whistles.

Weird things have been happening in the Carrier Dome this year. In football, Toledo was screwed over by a blown extra point call. On Saturday, West Virginia had their chance to tie the game erased by a goaltend that wasn’t called.

West Virginia was a controversial call away from overtime against Syracuse, but instead fell to the Orange, 63-61.
It appeared the Orange goal-tended a Deniz Kilicli field-goal attempt in a two point game with less than 30 seconds to play.
