Victor Davila scored all 15 of his points in the second-half and Jarell Eddie added 11 after halftime as Virginia Tech broke open a close game with Campbell and beat the Camels 85-60 Saturday.
The Hokies (8-3), playing for the first time in six days after finals week, looked sluggish at the start and led just 32-29 at halftime before opening the second half with a 15-0 run capped by Eddie's 3-pointer and jumper. The sophomore had his first seven points of the game in the burst.
Campbell (8-3), coming off a loss at Houston Baptist but owning an earlier victory at Iowa, got 16 points from Trey Freeman, 15 from Eric Griffin and 14 from Darren White. Campbell stayed within six throughout the first half, but had no answer after the Hokies' run.
Dorenzo Hudson also scored 15 for the Hokies, Erick Green had 12 and Dorian Finney-Smith 10.
