Orioles fans will get to see"Baltimore" back on jerseys, much like thisthrow-back classic.The long rumored change to the Orioles uniforms is finally coming. 2009 will mark the return of "Baltimore" to the Orioles road uniforms, part of a minor change that has big implications. The name "Baltimore" was removed by then owner Jerold A Hoffberger in 1973, an attempt to make the Orioles a more regional presence after the second incarnation of the Senators left Washington, DC for Texas. There will be other changes to the Orioles uniforms, as well. As reported by the Baltimore Sun: Road jersey: "Baltimore" will be across the front of the gray jerseys in orange and outlined in black and in lettering very similar to how "Orioles" is scripted on the home jerseys.
