Doug Fischer on Maxboxing.com now implies that Floyd is "scared" of Cotto. Look, Hatton had way more creditials. Hatton made Kostya Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillo QUIT. (Who does Cotto have?, Zab "super" Loser, after Baldomir and "Money" beat him?) but, Floyd put on an excellent show and showed the skill and the power at Welter, and don't say "Ricky was too small" actually, Hatton is a bigger guy than Mayweather, have you all forgotten that Mayweather started at 130 pounds? Then, in a row he beats G. Hernandez, Corrales, C Hernandez, Chavez, then goes to lightweight and goes fight for the gold… Castillo 1, which left a lot of questins, shows you Money is a for real when he goes and has Castillo 2. Then Mayweather goes to Jr Welter and yeah, did what he said he was gonna do, embarrass a C Plus Figher, but it was a PPV event, SMART, and then he goes to Welter, takes on the "Supposed to be champ" Super Loser, dominates him, then goes and fights a much bigger Baldomir, who was coming off a KO win over Gatti, and made him look stupid. Then Mayweather goes to 154 and beats right now, the number three in the world Jr Middle, Oscar, and then he defends his welter title against a 43-0 Hatton who made Kostya and Castillo quit, and you saw what happened. I truly believe Floyd is the fighter of the year, title at 154, then defends welter title vs a 43-0 guy. Now there are haters. "He wasn't a "real" Welterweight" well, Floyd showed you he can fight Welters, he beat Zab and Baldomir, the two best ,back to back then showed you he could beat Oscar at 154, an Oscar at 154 that KO'd Vargas, Mayorga, and before that, a controversial loss to Sugar Shane, so, yeah, Oscar is a good Jr Middle that Floyd out-classed, so he can hang with the big boys. Now it's "Floyd is scared of Cotto, Margarito, Cintron, ect" – first off, LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THE WELTER DIVISION…. What has Margarito done to get a shot at the title? The last two guys that could "box" Margarito fought he lost to (Santos, P-Will) – Then, you have Cintron, who cried after he quit against Margarito and now he's beaten Estrada and Mattyisse? Mosely, who has five losses now, losing to Cotto and Cotto's biggist wins were Zab, after Zab was beat by Balomir and Money, and he had to make a war out of it, Money just beat him with skill, then Cotto runs for the last three rounds against Mosely (Trinidad—De La Hoya anyone?) Then there's Zab Judah with five losses now and a tough dude in Josh Clottey. So, I think the only rational thing to do to make a super fight, is to have a card where Mayweather defends against someone like a "Clottey" while the "other" fight is for the number one contender… undefeated P –Will versus undefeated Cotto. Then the winners fight, but, thing is, is that I want to see Mayweather beat the shit out of Cotto this year, but, P-Will would beat Cotto in my book anyway. I think Floyd needs to have ONE more fight at Welter – to prove he's the man (and I'm pretty sure it will be the 2008 super fight when Mayweather Ko's Cotto EARLIER than Hatton, Hatton's hands are WAY faster than Cotto's, so what does Cotto bring to the table?, his career, look at it, it's like Tyson's "hit list" when he got out prison, Cotto has never fought an A PLUS fighter and when he does he will lose. Then Mayweather HAS TO GO TO MIDDLWEIGHT AND BEAT THE WINNER OF… (prediction time) Pavlik Ko's Taylor even quicker this time Pac Man Ko's Marquez (Marquez's last two fights? One is Rocky Juarez?) Hopkins teaches Calzaghe a boxing lesson And who cares about Trinidad – Jones?, but Trinidad will knock him out, that sets up Hopkins to end his career on the winner of that fight. Anything I'm missing? The future of the heavyweights starts with Eddie Chambers HAVING to beat Povetkin, then we need to see more of Arreola and Kevin Johnson, Johnson has BY FAR the quickest hands at Heavy, just no KO power. Arreola is the most fun to watch, but Chambers, in a row had Guinn, then Calvin Brock, now Povetkin for an IBF eliminator and I give PROPS to Wladmir Klitschko, who SHOULD be the RING MAG CHAMP, he was number ONE and beat number THREE in Byrd and Peter (I mean, Vitali got the title by facing number three in Cory Sanders) so it was Peter, Byrd, Brock, Austin, and Brewster all KO's but one in those five fights. But, I mean, the guy got stopped by Ross Purity, Cory Sanders and Brewster… not hall of fame material, but I give him props for now going for Ibragimov, so soon Wladdy will have TWO of the FOUR Bogus titles… and now, the IBO? LOL, it'll never end.
