Not going to lie, before tonight game on TBS started, I was thinking about the following...
However, the game tonight was all she wrote for the America East. The 2010-11 season is officially in the books. They fought tough, but Kansas was just way to much for the Terriers. They fell tonight 72-53 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. It was a long shot, but the #16 seed could not overcome the curse against #1.
The Terriers fought, trailing only by four at halftime. However, the experience Big 12 team was just too much. John Holland went out battling. He finished with 19 points, 15 however came in the first half. Partin was out of step, going only 2 for 13 from the field.
The game looked to have been won on the boards. Everyone knew that Kansas' size was going to be an issue for Boston. In the end, the Terriers were out-rebounded 37 to 24. Marcus Morris gave the Terriers fits all game, finishing with nine rebounds and 16 points.
So, after months of excitement, debate and bashing...we have come to the end. Farewell 2010-11 season.
