Kevin Giltner scored 23 points and three teammates also scored in double figures as Wofford raced to a 20-point halftime lead and trounced Georgia Southern 88-63 Saturday night in a Southern Conference game. Giltner got good support from forward Drew Crowell with 18 points, while guards Brad Loesing and Karl Cochran scored 16 and 10 points respectively. The Terriers (10-8, 3-3) quickly took a 12-2 lead, increased it to as much as 20 and led 43-23 at halftime. Eric Ferguson had a superb game for Georgia Southern (6-10, 4-2). The guard scored a game-high 26 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds. But no other Eagle scored more than 7 points. Wofford shot a sizzling 61.5 percent from the floor (32 of 52), connecting on 9 of 20 3-pointers. Wofford was also 15 for 19 at the line. Georgia Southern hit just 1 of 9 3-point attempts.
