Found March 12, 2011 on Josh Q. Public:

It’s so on today.  And by it, I mean College Basketball.  And by on, I mean games – and lots of them, too.  Some of them are even meaningful.  This is the beauty of College Basketball, it can be pretty boring throughout the year, but when March comes around it gets good – I mean REALLY GOOD.  So we here at JPQ decided that as a public service we would help guide you through a busy day with our can’t miss plan.  Here’s what your going to need to do: find a comfy chair, adequate food and beverages (if you’re a rookie – pace yourself), and keep your remote handy.11:30 Memphis vs UTEP – Conference USA Final – CBS.  Ok, this isn’t going to be the best game of the day or anything, but it’s the only game on this early.  Although for those unaware, UTEP is actually playing pretty well right now behind Senior guard Randy Culpepper, and head coach Tim Floyd.  Yeah, this Tim Floyd

1pm North Carolina vs Clemson – ACC Semifinal – ESPN.  Again, probably won’t be the best game of the day or anything, but it will be interesting to see how UNC responds after needing a last second layup to be the U yesterday.  If UNC can charge past Clemson and eventually win the ACC tourny they have an outside chance at a 1 seed.

140pm Michigan vs Ohio St – Big Ten Semifinal – CBS

Anytime you get Michigan and Ohio State together it usually makes for a good time.  OSU survived a scare yesterday behind Jared Sullinger’s beastly performance in OT.  Pretty safe bet that the Buckeyes can carry that momentum into today and handle the Wolverines.  Fun fact about Michigan, they feature a young guard named Tim Hardaway, Jr.

3pm Virgina Tech vs. Duke – ACC Semifinal – ESPN

The Dukies rolled through Maryland last night, although they may have to play with a limited Nolan Smith.  Meanwhile VT got a gift from the refs last night to get to get past Florida State.  Don’t count VT out in this match up, especially considering they took the Blue Devils down at home just 14 days ago

4pm Harvard vs Princeton – Ivy League Final – ESPN3

No television for this game, so grab a laptop if interested.  This surely won’t be a battle of athleticism, but never the less anytime you have a “win and your in scenario” the game is usually competitive.  If you don’t have a horse in the race, keep in mind Harvard hasn’t been in the big dance in like 1000 years.  Ok, not that long, but its been awhile

6pm Texas vs Kansas – Big 12 Semifinal – ESPN

Big 12 basketball isn’t the most glamorous league, but this is a good match up.  Kansas is a sure #1 seed, and Texas is ranked #10 in the nation.   Factor in that Texas handed Kansas a loss back in January, and you have the makings of a good game

7pm San Diego St vs BYU – Mountain West final – No TV

Jimmer!  Enough said.

9pm UConn vs Louisville – Big East final – ESPN

Kemba Walker has scored a gajillion points in the past 4 games to lead UConn into this contest.  He also broke some dudes ankles.  Louisville is coming off of an impressive performance against Notre Dame, and usually Pitino gets his boys ready.  Don’t miss this one!

Good luck, and godspeed!  Hit me up or follow me on twitter @virtucon21 for my pithy analysis
