Wisconsin Recruit Decommits Because of Message Boards
Interesting read from Gary Parrish last week. It seems Wisconsin commit Vander Blue decided to re-open his recruitment after fans on the Badgers’ message boards bashed Blue for everything from his attitude to his academics:
Vander Blue decommitted from Wisconsin earlier this week.
It was not national news.
He is not John Wall.
But what made it a national story ...

UNC WINS SOUTH REGION FOR 2ND STRAIGHT TRIP TO THE FINAL FOUR.
TY LAWSON NAMED REGIONAL MOP.
You know what is surprising?
I am not sure that UNC actually played that well offensively. Yes, they shot 50% from the floor but the Heels were a bit off or so it seemed. The fact Wayne Ellington 3-9 from the floor including 1-5 from three and Tyler Hansrbough only had eight points...

Enhanced Box Score
Jeff Goodman? Ty Lawson will accept your apology now.
It was a gutty effort from a player much maligned for his toughness. I imagine that will never happen again. Ty Lawson came out in the 2nd half after exhibiting some rust and dealing with pain, to score 21 of his 23 points carrying the Heels at a point when LSU was making a run. Lawson hit two threes...

No. 2 East DUKEWHY THEY CAN: Good defensive...

QUOTE OF THE WEEK EXCLUDING ANYTHING BOBBY KNIGHT MIGHT HAVE SAID
After it was revealed yesterday that President Obama, a onetime practice participant with UNC last April, had filled out his bracket with the Tar Heels as his predicted national champs, a television reporter asked senior teammate Danny Green if, perhaps, Obama had any inside information or direct contact with Lawson."I don't know, possibly...Maybe they have a secret bromance...

David Glenn Interviews Danny Green
Interesting interview.
The question everyone has after UNC plays like this is whether or not Roy was biting the heads off live chickens while running the team to the point of losing their lunch. Turns out that was not the case. Green says Roy opted to use it as a teaching moment and did push for a competitive practice, possibly to ratchet the intensity up. Given the fact this...
