TEMPE, Ariz. -- Guards Calaen Robinson and Egor Koulechov and forward Brandan Kearney are leaving the Arizona State basketball program.
All three were reserves for an ASU team that went 21-12 and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years. The Sun Devils are scheduled to lose four starters -- seniors Jordan Bachynski, Jermaine Marshall and Shaquielle McKissic...
Arizona State made a splash when it added Tempe native Calaen Robinson to its 2012 recruiting class, giving the Sun Devils three players from the Valley to round out the class and provide a foundation to build upon for the future. But that optimism was put on hold when it was announced last November that Robinson would have to sit out the entire 2012-13 season due to an off-the-court issue.
Arizona State freshman guard Calaen Robinson will not play this season.
Sun Devils coach Herb Sendek announced Saturday night that the 6-foot-1 lefty from nearby Tempe Corona del Sol High School will not play this season, but could return next year.
Robinson has not been with the team since it started practice while dealing with what the school has said is an off-the-court matter...
