Season Review: Ge'Lawn Guyn
The season review series kicks off with the first individual player entry, that of Ge'Lawn Guyn. In previous entries I've talked about the program and 3 players who didn't play a lot. You can see those entries at the top of the page or by clicking on the links in this sentence.
Ge'Lawn Guyn came into this season with some people thinking he would have an...
Season Review: Jeremiah Davis, Alex Eppensteiner, Kelvin Gaines
Earlier this week, I kicked off the season review with a look at the Cincinnati program. Up next are the players themselves. Last will be a review of Mick Cronin. Since stat sheet lists players in alphabetical order, that's a good way to go through the roster. That works out especially well because the 3 men at the top of the roster played a combined 33 games.

Cincinnati sports Zubaz-esque jerseys
Members of the Cincinnati Bearcats basketball team had the unfortunate assignment of debuting the atrocious new uniforms created for the team (and others) by adidas during a Big East Tournament game against the Providence Friars on Wednesday. And man oh man, the original photos that were released previously did not do the jerseys sufficient condemnable justice, as seeing them in...

Wright closer to form for Bearcats
Halfway through the Big East season, No. 17 Cincinnati is in solid shape. The Bearcats have their point guard closer to full strength, and they're only a game out of first place.
The best indicator of how well things are going: Coach Mick Cronin doesn't want them thinking about it.
The Bearcats (18-4, 6-3) are tied for third at the midpoint of league play, trailing No....

Wright limited by knee sprain
Point guard Cashmere Wright will be limited by a sprained knee, if he plays at all, when Cincinnati hosts No. 25 Marquette on Saturday, trying to end a three-game losing streak at home.
The senior sprained his right knee early in the second half of a 75-70 win at DePaul on Tuesday night and had to be helped off the court. Coach Mick Cronin said on Thursday that Wright's status...

Gritty Bearcats back on track after Pitt win
PITTSBURGH - Welcome to one last run of Big East basketball, at least the way we've come to know it. Welcome, too, to the style the Cincinnati Bearcats plan to keep bringing to the conference table.
No style points are involved, just a plan to score at least one more point than the other team. When Cincinnati gets its way, ugly is pretty and most opponents can't keep up...

Cincinnati plucks guard Kevin Johnson from their backyard
In a matter of days, Cincinnati has put together their expected backcourt of the future. Just days ago, the Bearcats landed Virginia combo guard Troy Caupain. On Monday, Cincinnati snagged a verbal commitment from 6′-3″ guard Kevin Johnson, a prospect from Summit County Day (OH). In Caupain and Johnson, coach Mick Cronin and his staff [...]
Crosstown Shootout to be Moved to US Bank Arena for 2 Years
The latest repercussions from the Crosstown Shootout have come down. Per Koch, the game will move to US Bank Arena for the next 2 seasons. This year's contest will be played on December 18, 19 or 20 on one of the ESPN networks. The teams haven't played at this arena since the Bearcats used to play there in the 80s. I'm assuming that Cincinnati will be the 'home'...

Bearcats sweatshirt has 'Cincinnati' misspelled
Via @dbaybucks
This is an official shirt for the Cincinnati bearcats unfortunately they may have spelled Cincinnati “Cincinnatti”. I’m sure some intern at the t-shirt factory is in a lot of trouble. Come on Bearcats! The least you can do is spell your town right.
Until then, go “Cincinnatti” Bearcats!
