RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada had 14 football players named to the Preseason All-WAC Teams by Phil Steele's College Football Preview, the magazine announced Tuesday.
lt;br />Nevada had five players on the first-team, including three on the defensive side. Wide receiver Rishard Matthews and offensive lineman Chris Barker earned first-team honors as did defensive lineman Brett Roy, linebacker James-Michael Johnson and defensive back Isaiah Frey. Barker will be a junior while the other four are all seniors. Matthews was also named the first-team punt returner.
lt;br />On the second team, the Wolf Pack was represented by junior wide receiver Brandon Wimberly, senior offensive lineman Jeff Meads and junior defensive back Duke Williams.
lt;br />Junior running back Mike Ball earned third-team accolades and was joined by senior defensive tackle Zack Madonick and junior defensive back Marlon Johnson.
