On Jan. 6, 2008, the COLUMBUS DISPATCH published an entensive off-the-field profile of Jim Tressel’s family life. As part of the feature, Dispatch reporter Todd Jones wrote: Tressel doesn’t play golf much — about nine holes a year — but warns Ellen that she better be prepared to lose to him someday. “He says that within two years of getting fired here he’s going to beat me in golf, so it is paramount to him that he comes out on top — in everything,” she said.
