The Pac-10 is poised to become the Pac-12 after they successfully wooed Colorado away from the Big-12 and Utah away from the Mountain West. Naturally the conference now wants to set up a website, Pac12.com, for its new namesake. However, Tupac Shakur has managed to throw a postmortem wrench in their plans. . The domain name Pac12.com is currently owned by a fan of the late Tupac Shakur and he ain’t selling. Last week the Pac-10 filed a claim against the domain owner with the World Intellectual Property Forum for sitting on the domain name without setting up a web page. The move prompted the domain owner to put up a website that only contains an Amazon widget with links to download Tupac albums and singles. . The Pac-10 will eventually fold and pay up for the domain. We just thought they would have used some foresight and looked forward after dealing with a similar situation with Pac10.com.
