7 Days of Draftsmas: Vikings Bring in Linebacker Jasper Brinkley

The Vikings go defense again, drafting Jasper Brinkley, linebacker out of South Carolina.  For those keeping track, the Vikes have now drafted 3 men out of the SEC.  What’s the significance?  I don’t know.  A little Pee Wee Herman there to lighten up a rainy day (well, it’s rainy here anyways; you may be basking in the sun for all I know).  Here’s a video of Jasper lighting up some poor quarterback and apparently hurting himself. This feels like a filling-out-the-special-teams pick to me.  Although, clicking through some scouting reports, it looked like a few people had this guy rising maybe into the late second round.  So maybe the Vikes got themselves a steal here.
