The Viking Age:
It was generally agreed that the two biggest needs for the Vikes in this draft were offensive tackle and wide receiver. They took care of the receiver part in the first round, selecting Percy Harvin of Florida, and in the second round they addressed the tackle hole by taking massive Oklahoma tackle Phil Loadholt. Neither player is exactly what you would call a sure thing: Harvin has well-documented character issues, while Loadholt is considered something of a project. However, there is no denying that each man possesses the physical tools needed to make it in the NFL. It will now be up to Brad Childress to mold them and shape them and refine them, and fit them into the big football jigsaw puzzle that is our team.
