That's right, write down the date and time, the 49ers team management have finally made a smart move, and if I'm recalling correctly, ONLY smart move since Dr York took control of the once storied franchise by the bay. They've relieved Alex Smith, a top candidate for worst draft pick of all time, from his starting duties at QB. That's the end of the good move...

Our 2008 San Francisco 49er Starting Quarterback, J.T. O'Sullivan, yes that's right people you read this right I did type "starting qb". J.T. took the long way to get to the San Francisco Bay Area to end up trying to right a ship that, like the Titanic, hit a snag and pretty much went down.

Frank Gore should immediately call Mike Martz and thank him for benching the worst starting QB in the NFL (Alex Smith) for JT O'Sullivan. That is the lone reason that I am drafting the uber-talented Gore?. because with Alex Smith at the helm, his talent is wasted in a big, dangerous way.

Well, it appears Alex Smith is going to have to be "the guy" for the 49ers. Yesterday (Tuesday) SF traded former starting QB Tim Rattay to the Buccaneers for an undisclosed draft pick.

Getting Larry Allen from the Dallas Cowboys adds more than his 325 pounds to the 49ers offensive line. He's got a mean streak, or at least he plays like he does. Now if Jonas Jennings and Jeremy Newberry could be healthy all season...QB Alex Smith would certainly enjoy that, and fans would too!
