The San Diego Chargers added some depth to their defense by selecting Northern Illinois defensive end/linebacker Larry English with the 15th pick.
This is a bit of a surprise as many had English going in the late first/early second, but overall it’s not too much of a reach as English had plenty of suitors.

There, I said it. There's absolutely zero chance that the Patriots select Clay Matthews with their first pick today, and I'm sick of seeing him going to the Patriots on every other mock draft I see.
He's a good player, but he doesn't fit the Patriots 3-4 scheme in any way. ...

OLB Brian Cushing was the first of the big three (Cushing, Maualuga and Matthews) to be selected, 15th overall by Houston. The Texans needed some help on the defensive side of the ball as the team ranked 27th in the NFL in points allowed per game (24.6), and 22nd in yards per game (336.6) in 2008. From everything I’m hearing and reading, I feel like the Ravens will need a lot of luck now, instead of some luck. They need the Jets to trade up to get Sanchez, and the Giants plans to trade up not to work. So now, my main two predictions at #26: Larry English and Kenny Britt. So much excitement for so many months, and now it could be killed instantly.
