Clemson's Bowdens says no thanks to Alabama

Alabama may just have to hire some high school coach or promote from within, because they cannot find a coach to save their lives. The most recent report includes a story about 'Bama contacting former assistant Tommy Bowden, the current Clemson coach, about the opening. Bowden denied that he had been contacted, but said "I think that would be a dead issue myself, I plan on staying here". Well that's too bad, whoever would've thought that a Clemson coach would turn down Alabama Football?

Why cant Bama hire anyone? Is the pressure to win there too high, and the level of recruits too low?

'Bama just isn't the school it used to be, all they have is the tradition. In today's game, they are competing against too many other schools and their program has just not adapted well enough to stay at the level they all expect.

Hey Bama!!! Air Force's coach just stepped down, he may give you an interview!

Haha, after DeBerry stepped down I think 'Bama would be the last destination on his mind.
