Boeckman should be higher in the heisman race. Just becuase Ryan has 400 plus more yards than him doesnt make him better.

Michael Vick Must Be Ryan Perrilloux's Mentor
Seriously, folks, is Ryan Perrilloux not one of the dumbest college QBs around? First, he talked trash about Texas during his recruitment, switched to LSU thinking he would steal the QB job from the future 2007 #1 NFL Draft pick JaMarcus Russell, failed to beat out third-string Matt Ryan for the backup QB job, got busted in a counterfeit money deal last year, and now he's caught...
2008 NFL Mock Draft (Picks 6-10)
(6) New York Jets - Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB Ohio State
The Jets would love to get either Matt Ryan or McFadden with this pick but they'll have no problem settling for one of the best defensive prospects in this draft, Vernon Gholston. With all the talent Gholston has, it won't take long before he's ...
Why a free market makes sense for NFL contracts
The record-breaking NFL rookie contracts are last month's news, but what's surprising is that few people are actually criticizing the whiny veterans who are upset about rookies getting their pay day. The way I look at it is that a free market will set a fair price for talented players. Sure, some teams might be willing to overpay to get the big-name rookie, but thats the way a free...
Has Matt Ryan finally hit the rookie wall?
The Atlanta Falcons might be the story of the year in the NFL this
season and Matt Ryan is a big reason why. But has the first-year
quarterback finally hit the preverbal rookie wall?
Ryan was not particularly sharp in the Falcons' last three regular
season games, completing just 38 of 68 (55%) of his pass attempts for
500 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. In...
Finally the Draft is here
What's up, Yardbarkers?
Just wanted to check in with the Yard on the night before the Draft. It's been a big week out here in the Big Apple, not just for me but also for Glenn Dorsey, Matt Ryan, Vernon Gholston, Chris Long and of course #1 pick Jake Long (congratulations, man). I've been loving New York and the whole Draft experience. I came out a couple days before the...

College Football: Boston College wins 8th straight bowl game
Yesterday, the Boston College Eagles beat the Michigan State Spartans 24-21 in the Champs Sports Bowl for their 8th bowl win a row. Led by quarterback Matt Ryan's 3 touchdown passes the Eagles extended the nations longest bowl winning streak. Ryan completed 22 of 47 passes for 249 yards and threw 2 of his 3 touchdowns to wide receiver Rich Gunnell. All-American safety Jamie Silva...
Mel Kiper's Big Board
Once a week we will be taking a look at Mel Kiper's big board. Here is what it looks like this week: Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU (6-2,292) Jake Long, OT, Michigan (6-6, 320) Chris Long, DE, Virginia Tech (6-4, 282) Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College (6-4, 223) Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC (6-1, 297) Kentwan B...
Fantasy Football Champ 2008
When Fred Smoot said this about Matt Ryan, "He's nothin'...he's a pair of shoes" I'm sure he had no idea that he would be facing Cooley's Zornado, led by the rookie QB, in the championship game of the first annual Cooley Zone fantasy football league. But thats exactly what happened and luckily ...
Paying The Price: The NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement
In March 2006, NFL Owners voted almost unanimously, 30-2, to accept the NFLPA's final proposal to extend its collective bargaining agreement (CBA). On May 20, 2008, NFL Owners unanimously voted to opt of that same agreement, meaning the current collective bargaining agreement will expire in 2011 instead of 2013. Now, many questions linger about the future of the league and what...
Falcons Don?t Seem Concerned About Ryan
From: RotoTimes.com
Falcons rookie QB Matt Ryan has thrown six interceptions over his last five games, but coach Mike Smith does not believe the rookie is wearing down, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Smith said, ?It?s a long season for everybody, but I see no evidence whatsoever. He threw the big long ball to Michael Jenkins. [...]

2009 NFL Mock Draft 21-32- 11/09/08
22. Atlanta Falcons: Terrence Cody, DT, Bama
The Falcons have been very surprisingly good this year. Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, Roddy White have all been very good this season. So I say they need to help improve the defense for the 2009 NFL Season. They do this by taking the Big Terrence Cody to fill the [...]
