Disney Picks Up MEAC/SWAC Challenge, Drops Florida Classic

Orlando, Fla will pay host to two major black college football games in 2008. The Florida Classic, featuring the MEAC's Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman University, and the three-year-old MEAC/SWAC Challenge.

But after 10 years and $2.7 million in sponsorship support, Walt Disney World is severing ties with the ten-year old Florida Classic. While early indications are that Disney will focus it's resources in promoting the MEAC/SWAC Challenge, no confirmation has been given by the company.
