EAGLES, 'SKINS OUT OF WALKER SWEEPSTAKES
A league source tells us that the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins are no longer among the teams interested in acquiring the services of receiver Javon Walker.
There's a suspicion that Walker's agent is puffing in this regard, overstating to the media the interest in the player in an effort to create a market for him.
Walker was traded to the Packers to the Broncos in 2006, and was released recently in order to avoid a significant roster bonus.

We are almost ready to move out of speculation mode and into some real signings, but here is another rumor courtesy of Derrick Gunn of Comcast Sportsnet. The Broncos are likely to release oft-injured Javon Walker, and the Eagles are looking into signing the veteran wide receiver. Other teams who might be interested in Walker are two division rivals, the Cowboys and Redskins.

The reports on the extent of Javon Walker's injuries have been sketchy at best. He was found unconscious according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Cross another receiver off the Eagles list, not that they were interested anyway. Javon Walker signed with the Oakland Raiders for 6 years, 55 million. That's a ton of money for a guy who is always injured. I'm glad the Eagles didn't pay that much for a mediocre receiver.
So that definitely rules out any free agent receivers coming to the Eagles, although D.J. Hackett...

Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting some extremely interesting news regarding Randy Moss. The Eagles made a big splash on the first two days of NFL Free Agency, break out the champagne right? Not so fast. The signing of Asante Samuel and Chris Clemons are both good moves by the Eagles but in no way sure up this defense or this team.
