ESPN ANNOUNCER CALLS ARMANTI EDWARDS "BOY"

Did anyone see Sportscenter about 9am Saturday? During the Appalachian State highlights, the ESPN announcer, not sure which one even though I am pretty sure, said "Here's our Boy, Armanti Edwards..." The term "Our boy..." is slang. Not offensive. You use it to introduce people. "This is my boy, Armanti." It's a term of endearment, nothing offensive.

When its me among "my Boys" you are absolutely right, when its a white guy talking about about any black person in a forum like that...its a totally different meaning.

armanti edwards is a beast.

Andrew is completely right. They said it in a positive nature not in the meaning of possession. Mudfree, do you think that all black people should get compensation from slavery pre-civil war? If you do that could be one of the most ignorant thing that I have ever heard. You can't move forward if you are still in the past.
