Halftime Got In the Way Of A Great Time
It was a perfect night, unseasonably pleasant for early September. And for a half, Florida played nearly perfect football. Offense, defense, special teams. It was a clinic.
So entertaining was the UF offense that most of the crowd stayed for the second half to see what would happen next. What happened next was that Florida played the perfect third quarter. (This is where you drop your mouse and call your houseguests in from the kitchen to show them proof that the Sun's columnist is losing it). Florida fumbled twice, had one first down and had trouble stopping the Troy offense in a miserable third quarter that didn't make the game scary but wasn't much fun for Gator fans to watch.
