I can't believe....
I can't believe that Andre Woodson, a sure-fire 1st rd QB, fell to the 6th round just because of 2 bad days with 'Mad' Mike Martz.

Martz hurting Woodson?
MOBILE, Ala. The buzz around the 2008 Senior Bowl on Friday concerned an ESPN report that 49ers coordinator Mike Martz had tinkered with Andre Woodson's style and form so much as to cause problems that might even hurt his chances in the upcoming NFL draft. Raiders later picks routinely outperfom their first rounder: Thoughts from a Readers Side
The results from the most recent draft are starting to sink in. LDizzle takes a look back at the last decade of Raider drafting and shows that the Raiders routinely do better with their second and third round picks than they do with the opening round. The Raiders used those picks to acquire DeAngelo Hall in a trade this offseason and Mario Henderson in a draft day trade last year...
MCS Nike Game Ball Winners - Week 7
Under the guidance of Offensive Coordinator Joker Phillips, the Kentucky offense was outstanding against one of the best defenses in the country. Phillips dialed the right number time after time, as Kentucky came surging back from a 27-14 deficit late in the 3rd quarter. No call was bigger than the final play for the Kentucky offense. In the third overtime, Steve Johnson ran a...

Seriously. People need to stop bitching about how Flacco went to a small school. He's good. I go to UD. I've seen him play. Actually...on second thought I'm going to utliize some Ctrl + v
"Seeing Flacco play on a highlight reel and actually seeing him play in person are two very different things. I was lucky enough (or perhaps intelligent enough) to be a Blue Hen this year and didn't miss a single home game and tried to catch as many away games as I could.
Flacco is big. Real big. Like I walked by him on campus and was like, "Man, this kid is enormous." Additionally, he's quick, strong, and intelligent (he's a Civil Engineer major even). He deserved to get drafted as high as he did because he does have all the talent people claim he has. He's a better quarterback than any of the quarterback he was picked in front of, and, in time, will prove himself to be the best quarterback drafted in the 2008 class (yes, he's going to be better than Matt Ryan. Trust me).
Granted, I'm biased I'm sure. I got to the University of Delaware, I was born in Baltimore, and I'm a huge Ravens fan (so this really couldn't have worked out any better for me), but he really does have the potential to be the Ravens' answer at quarterback.
I'd rather not see him start more than 2 or 3 games this season (to keep him from being a Kyler Boller) but if they let him develop into the quarterback he is perfectly capable of being, there's no reason why he couldn't become the face of the Ravens franchise."
and just replace Matt Ryan's name with any of the quarterbacks highly touted that came out of FBS schools in this next quote (including Brohm)
"It all depends on how they adjust to the NFL. Maybe Matt Ryan faced better competition than Joe Flacco did (but in reality, that's debatable itself. There are good defenses in both the FCS and the FBS) and maybe he didn't. The thing I don't think anyone is going to argue that the level of competition in the NFL is better than the FCS and the FBS.
The differences between the FCS and the FBS is negligible when you consider the differences between college and professional football. It doesn't matter where you came from, because you're going (or at least trying to go) to the same place: the NFL.
That's the only thing that matters. They'll face much better competition. However the respond to that higher level of competition will determine how well they will ultimately play in the NFL."
On a side note: UD's all star running back Omar Cuff didn't get drafted, but was picked up on free agency by the Titans right after the draft ended. He really did get out shined by Flacco and while he is not the talent Flacco is, he still deserves a good load of credit and maybe a late 5th to 7th round pick. Oh well.
