Iowa Beats Illinois

The Iowa Hawkeyes beat the Illini 24-7, scoring three touchdowns late in the second quarter to seal their victory. Quarterback Drew Tate went 17/27 for 190 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. It was important for Iowa to gain confidence this week because Ohio State comes to town next weekend. "'The good news is, I don't think we've hit stride yet, or played our best football -- I hope we haven't," Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said. "We going to have to find a way to upgrade that quickly in the next seven days because we're playing an outstanding (team). I can't remember Ohio State ever having a bad team.'"

Next week- everyone get ready for OSU and Iowa. This should be a battle- I honestly think that Iowa has a better shot than anyone else on OSU's schedule at beating them this year.
