Javon-walker
As rumors continue to swirl about Randy Moss, with the latest involving the Minnesota Vikings, a cheaper option is drawing a lot of attention around the league. Javon Walker apparently has ten teams interested in his services: the 49ers, Bills, Buccaneers, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Panthers, Raiders, Redskins, and Vikings. Notice thats the entire NFC East going after the oft-injured wide receiver.

The Eagles might look at him but with that busted knee they won't give him squat for gauranteed money. Jerry Jones on the other hand will probably give him pretty good money. More power to him. I think his productive days are over.

I think he's done and he should have enough of a right mind to take a pay cut.

    Yeah, I'm still bitter.

i know its only day 3 in FA but im really starting to get antsy.... im really afraid the eagles are going to walk into the 2008-09 season with the same receiving core. that makes me nervous because we dont have a go to guy in the redzone and that is what we lack a redzone threat. we had it in t.o. and stallsworth but curtis is always double covered and brown is so inconsistant and has horrible hands.... i make my plea now! EAGLES PLEASE SIGN A NUMBER 1. PLEASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EAGLES, 'SKINS OUT OF WALKER SWEEPSTAKES
A league source tells us that the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins are no longer among the teams interested in acquiring the services of receiver Javon Walker.

There's a suspicion that Walker's agent is puffing in this regard, overstating to the media the interest in the player in an effort to create a market for him.

Walker was traded from the Packers to the Broncos in 2006, and was released recently in order to avoid a significant roster bonus.

  • There's been lots of talk from all of us Die Hard Eagles Fans over the last week regarding every #1 wide recever in the NFL and even some in the draft (myself included). Did eveybody watch the interview with McNabb in Orlando talking about the Asante Samuel signing?? At first when asked about McNabb and Westbrook asking for more weapons on offense he did a really good job of dodging the question, talking about the need for the defence creating turnovers for the offence. At the end he messed up or wasn't thinking because he clearly said somthing about wait and see what happens next .
The Eagles definately know who their getting and are now either weighing other options like Moss who they probobly thought would be signed by New England by now. It's a possibility (Moss), but I think the front office learned a big lesson in 2006 when they struck a deal with Center LeCharles Bentley after all the time they wasted in talks, Bentley commited but didn't sign the contract and used their offer to negotiate a deal in his home town, which he wanted all along (I'm F@#king glad he blew his knee out and hasn't played since "F" HIM). Moss is all over the board talking about wanting to play for everyone, now he's talking about him and Culpepper joining up again.
That hole thing scare's me, that would suck if we brought him in and struck a deal just to have him go back to New England and renegotiate a better deal knowing all along what he was going to do (Not one team has talked about meeting with him). I definately think they already know who their getting in a trade and are now looking to lesson the blow in the draft by trading other players, but it's going to be a big name (huge). Maybe Fitz (we're all hoping) because no matter what Arizona can't afford to give him the 14 million this year and 15 million next year, they won't be able to compete .
Prior to signing Asante Samuel and the DE from Oakland all reports had the Eagles just over $32 million under the salery cap. Sorry for rambling (I'm Juiced), but I think the Eagles are going to make one or two more moves prior to the draft one being huge and the other maybe moving players and picks for the draft. WAIT AND SEE, IT'S TO QUITE IN THE FRONT OFFICE!!!!

Javon's knees are done. Good riddance. People need to stop and realize that th Eagles are not a bunch of idiots. They know they need a better presence in the red zone and they know their franchise QB has been dropping not-too-subtle hints to the media about wanting a playmaker on the offense. They are trying to get Larry Fitzgerald, it appears, and something tells me they have something in the works to get either him, Moss, or someone in here. But it doesn't happen overnight sometimes and they are not going to get sucked into an awful contract like the Browns just gave Donte "one play away from a torn hamstring" Stallworth.
  • the eagles should give walker a shot a nee injury takes a while to heel but the eagles should gamble we did that with stallworth who is one the most injury prone people i have seen in the nfl why not walker he is a bi threat with the ball because he is big fast and strong i mean we need a wide out and if mcnabb and walker are traning together we should get him because we lack a wide out
