Found July 30, 2007 on Sports In Boston:
Shira Springer of the Boston Globe reports: "As the trade currently stands, the Celtics would send Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and two first-round picks to the Timberwolves for Garnett. Al Jefferson is not included in the deal at the moment." Could this be true?...

  • If this is true, I don't see why both sides don't immediately agree on it. For the Celtics not to have to give up Jefferson and Rondo and still get KG, then that is quite a coup for Danny Ainge. Meanwhile McHale and Minnesota would get back a project in Green, two serviceable players in Gomes and Telfair, Ratliff's contract and two pics for a player that is in his decline.
  • The Celtics would be fleecing the Wolves in that deal.
  • yea right that's never gonna happen. KG a.k.a one of the biggest stars in Minnesota sports history for jefferson who hasn't proven to be much of a factor in the NBA yet, Aging Theo Ratliff who only averaged 2 points and had a contract of 11,000,000 dollars last year, and Rondo who only averaged 6.4 points per game last year!

Garnett Photo Removed from Timberwolves website

Earlier today the first picture one would see on the Timberwolves homepage header was one of Kevin Garnett. KG to wear #5

Kevin Garnett will have to get used to a new team, new city, and a new number. The forward couldn't wear his typical #21 because it belongs to the retired Bill Sharman, his second choice of #1 because it is retired to founder Walter Brown, nor could he wear #2 because it is retired to Red Auerbach. So, Garnett was forced to settle for #5, which represents his draft number in the...

Looking At The KG Trade From Minnesota's Perspective

As a Timberwolves fan, the last two days have been a hard pill to swallow. It's been hard to listen to the rumors resurface, and then seeing KG at the press conference holding up Boston green.
