Clausen is a GREAT QB. I saw jimmy play for Oaks Christian. The system he was in then was awesome!! The players, the system, but most important his QB coach. It is unfortuate that he lacks a quality QB coach at Notre Dame. And I'm not talking about Charlie Weis. Until this changes, we will not be in the hunt for a National Championship. We need someone that will turn him from a flicker to a blow torch! The West Coast offense that Jimmy was in before, left opponents dazed. They would average 56 points a game with the competition averaging 0 points. PLEASE Coach Weis , let jimmy do what he does best. And replace the QB staff. Only then will we be able to contend for a National Championship. The team has the talent. You recruited the best. We just need to fine tune the staff to the talent that you've picked. Pete Carol is a good example of staff to teams talent.

TEAMS: Pittsburgh Panthers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Riding on some momentum of winning their first road contest of the 2008 season, Notre Dame comes home to keep their unbeaten steak at the Stadium intact against a good Pittsburgh squad. Both teams are coming into this matchup on opposite ends, as the Irish beatdown Washington 33-7, while Pitt was torched through the air against Rutgers 54-34.
