TEAMS:
Duke Blue Devils,
Syracuse Orange,
Miami Hurricanes,
Michigan Wolverines,
Illinois Fighting Illini
It's really easy to pick on the Michigan and Notre Dame football teams. Both are 0-2, and their once proud, powerful programs seem like pretenders when you talk about the most powerful teams in the land. The two teams meet Saturday in a game I've heard referred to as the Toilet Bowl or Trainwreck Bowl. Both are appropriate.
The Wolverines and Fighting Irish, however, are not the only big-time, big-name schools with vastly under-performing football programs. Here is my list of 5 such schools about which you have to ask "How the hell did their football programs get this bad?"
