Michigan beats Florida in Carr's last game
Lloyd Carr, in his final game as Michigan head coach, goes out a winner as his Michigan team beat the Florida Gators 41-35 in the Capital One Bowl. Mchigan forced a 4 and out in Florida's last possesion to help secure a victory. On offense, Michigan racked up 524 total yards, which was 125 yards more than the potent Gators offense. The Michigan defense only surrendered 57 rushing yards and 254 passing yards to Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. The win is also the first bowl win for Michigan seniors Chad Henne, Mike Hart, Jake Long, and Shawn Crable.
