I think LSU deserves to be No. 1 as well. But if they struggle again (as they did in the first half) against a team of Tulane's caliber and USC dominates the rest of the Pac-10, then the Trojans should take over the top spot again. That's the beauty of having a week by week poll.

LSU for now but the Gators shall prevail this weekend with Tim Tebow eating up their #1 defense.

LSU does not deserve to be number one. Like every SEC team, they just beat up on cupcakes and complain how tough their conferance is. My highschool football team could run the SEC west.

Please dude SEC has the toughest conference in the NCAA they even said it on ESPN themselves and as for your high school team if you think the could beat someone in the SEC let alone the NCAA you must be the biggest idiot ever and I'm putting you in front G.W. Bush on that one.

You clearly are an idiot!The SEC is without a doubt the strongest conference in the nation.If a playoff system was in place,the SEC would have 4 out of the top 5 places at the end of the year.

The polls are clearly inadequate with so many top 25 teams losing.The NCAA NEEDS to put a playoff system in place to determine the national championship.
