In the eyes of the law, that's exactly what the Duke football program is: replaceable. A Kentucky judge ruled that the Duke team could reasonably be replaced by ANY team in Division I, including what used to be I-AA!!

The TN Vols are also playing close to $2 million in 2008 to host teams they can beat, with visitors being paid anywhere from $750,000 to $850,000. If teams want to start backing out on deals like this, they can now use the Duke case as precedent, and potentially screw up the hosting team's schedule.
