I went over to ESPN just to see what Heather Dinich, my most favorite ACC blogger at the World Leader in Sports, and, by the way, the only one, was saying about North Carolina. After the weeks of not giving any (or very little) love to the Heels I just had to see what she had to say about the awesome game between Notre Dame and North Carolina.
Two Heels make ACC Players of the Week
From the web page of the Atlantic Coast Conference web page the weekly awards have come out, and there is good news for North Carolina. The Tar Heels have two players receiving awards for the week's performance against the Fighting Irish.
Brandon Tate is out for the season
Tar Heel fans sit down before reading further. ESPN is reporting that senior wide out Brandon Tate is done for the season with a torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee.
Tar Heels trip up Irish 29-24
Jimmy Clausen threw for a career high in yards (383) for the third consecutive week, but the number that had the biggest impact on the game was 5. That is the amount of turnovers the Irish had on Saturday in Chapel Hill, NC as the Irish fell victims to the North Carolina Tar Heels for the first time in 48 years.
