Sports Talk Buzz:
If there ever is an 'away team' one could make a strong case for the Pittsburgh Panthers inheriting that label. Under Dave Wannstedt's tenure with the exception of the first year, the Panthers have lost 17 contests. Out of those 17 games only seven of their losses occurred as the visiting team. The Panthers started the season with a 38-3 blowout at home yet QB Bill Stull heard boos raining down from fans still upset over his performance at the 2008 Sun Bowl (the lowest-scoring major bowl game in 50 years). Stull seems to enjoy the road and has tossed nine of his 15 TDs as a visitor. The Panthers defense regularly brings the pressure and ranks second nationally in sacks with 15 over three games. The Wolfpack QBs have tasted the turf 11 times in their first three match-ups putting them in the bottom 10% nationally. Pittsburgh has covered in the two lined matches played this season. In the last three years they are 9-3 ATS in road games and 9-4 ATS as dogs while the Wolfpack are 1-3 ATS as favorites.BetUS.com shows a line of Pittsburgh +1.Pick Pittsburgh +1.
