All seven of the 49ers recent draft picks report to rookie minicamp this weekend. Mike Singletary and company will get their first chance to see what the new rookies are made of. Everyone but WR Michael Crabtree who is out with a fractured left foot will participate in drills. Mostly the new 49er players will be learning the playbook on either offense or defense. Mandatory minicamp for the team is June 5-7. The 49ers signed 12 rookie free agents Thursday and they will also participant in minicamp this weekend: QB Kirby Freeman, Baylor, RB Kory Sheets, Purdue, WR Dobson Collins, Gardner-Webb, C/G Mathew Huners, S. Florida, G Kyle Howard, Wyoming, OT Alex Boone, Ohio State, DE Pannel Egboh, Stanford, DE Khalif Mitchell, East Carolina, LB Diyral Biggs, Bowling Green, CB Terrail Lambert, Notre Dame, CB Carlos Thomas, S. Carolina, CB Jahi Word-Daniels, Georgia Tech.
