Toby Gerhart rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 25 Stanford emphatically followed up its historic 2007 upset at the Coliseum while essentially ending 11th-ranked Southern California’s reign atop the Pac-10 with a 55-21 win Saturday.
