He's called it his "dream job." Should he be the next Mountaineer coach?

  • A Bowden will be the next WVU coach.
  • Loyalty would not be a question. And I am all for that. But I really question the fact that he hasn't had the right headset on since 98. This is not Huggins, but I could be wrong. He will want to win for WVU, I will say that.
  • Let me see....who did West Virginia hear that statement from before...the sleeze ball...lowlife, lying, coward Rodriquez
  • At least we will get a coach that can beat any team from Florida. I would stand behind him in a hard fought battle.
  • Although he hasn't been on the sidelines........Terry Bowden is VERY active with both the Florida State and Clemson programs during Spring and Fall practices. He is also an ANALYST for ESPN...which means he meets with, and talks with a variety of coaches from throughout the country, and he watches film of their teams in action and gets to learn their systems. Don't forget he went undefeated at Auburn. He's a great motivational speaker and recruiter. Not being on the sidelines for 6-7 years HASN'T hurt his knowledge of the game or his ability to motivate young men to excel. He owns property near Morgantown and unlike "Rod The Rich" has a REAL interest in West Virginia. He like Huggins 'needs' to prove himself which means he would work hard. He would be an excellent replacement for Rodriquez to keep the program performing at a top level - and IF after 7 years he wanted to leave, he wouldn't be 'sneaky' about it like Rodriquez. In today's "greedy" climate, you aren't going to find another Don Nehlen, Joe Paterno or Bobby Bowden who will stay for 20 years. Terry Bowden would be a great improvement and an asset to WVU.
