It's game day for both the UConn Huskies men's basketball and women's
basketball teams leaving fans of both teams in a pickle. The UConn men
play host to the Syracuse Orange at 7 PM at Gampel Pavilion. The game
will be broadcast nationally on ESPN as part of their Rivalry Week
Package. Sean McDonough and Bill Raftery will have the call with Allen
Hopkins on sideline...

The Big East Conference announced this afternoon that UConn Huskies
center Hasheem Thabeet was named the Big East Player of the Week for
the week-ending 2/8.

When the rankings come out this afternoon, the UConn Huskies men's and
women's basketball teams will most likely be No. 1 again. There's no
reason for the men to fall from their perch and definitely no reason
for the women to fall either.

For the second week in a row, the UConn Huskies retain the No. 1 spot
in the land. The Big East Conference has 4 of the 10 spots in the AP
Poll and 3 of the 10 in the ESPN/USA Today Poll.
