George Mason's run to the Final Four introduced the nation to a cast of new stars, including big man Jai Lewis.     I swear I've been wondering this for the past week. I definitely remember that he was a football prospect (with no college football experience).

      The football thing didn't last very long. I got the impression that training was a little too hard.

        It's a lot to ask. I mean, I think that teams were trying to run the Antonio Gates/Tony Gonzales gamble without considering that those guys actually played football.

          It's probably a little easier making the transition as a pass-catching tight end, too. I couldn't imagine the last time Jai Lewis would have practiced blocking anyone, let alone NFL linemen.

    He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Xplosion of the CBA (was ABA at the time he was drafted) but he chose to pursue other routes
