For once, looking back on this Pirates game, it's very easy to say I could have predicted plenty of things that happened. Particularly the success of various pitchers (and of course, the outcome).-Reds starter Josh Fogg loaded the bases with no outs in the first inning. The Pirates got three. In the second, Chris Gomez hit his first homer of the year (yeah, that's how bad Fogg is). 5-0 Buccos.-Of course, you knew Gorzo wasn't going to do much better. He quickly allowed three runs of his own before exiting prior to completing four innings.-Still, with a two run lead, the mighty Pirate bullpen went to work. Jason Davis gave up a run in an inning--hard to believe, I know. Jesse Chavez was next and he did the same. So a 5-0 lead had all of sudden become 5-5.-After Fogg, the Reds brought in one of their own Sept. callup studs (Ramirez) who did not allow a baserunner in three innings. After he left the game, though, Nate McLouth untied things with a moon-shot to right-center. ...
