As Ryan Buchanan sat in Nick Saban's office, he had to do a double take. He almost couldn't believe he was in Saban's office talking to a man he's watched and admired for years. Buchanan wasn't offered by Alabama today but he thinks an offer could be on the way as soon as Tide coaches see him throw during spring practice.

There will be 150,000-200,000 eyes on Alabama football players Saturday when the Crimson Tide has its annual A-Day Game in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The 15th and final practice of the spring will be a game starting at 2 p.m. CDT and televised by CSS.

In an ordinary week, not much case could be made for players on a team that had won only one-third of its conference games. But last week was not an ordinary one for the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team. Thus, when the Southeastern Conference hands out weekly honors, it would not be a surprise for Bama to take one or more.
