Dallas Cowboys And The NFL:
INDIANAPOLIS – Even as Texas defensive end Sam Acho prepares to embark on his pro career, he’s pining for the good old days back in Austin.
“What I will miss most is the locker room,” Acho said Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “Being in that locker room and coming out of that tunnel to 100,000 fans, screaming, throwing up the Horns sign and screaming ‘Texas fight.’ I’m going to miss all of that. I think every moment there was a great moment. There were so many games, and even practices, where we were full-out intense. There were even times in the locker room, acting crazy and having fun.
“I’m going to miss the locker room the most.”
Acho, by the way, was one of the most impressive interviews yesterday. He was poised, confident and enthusiastic.
“His character is off the charts,” said NFLDraftScout.com. “That could help him if teams are trying to decide between taking him or someone else.”
