There was a time not so long ago where a case could be made that Alabama at Arkansas was the biggest game in the SEC in 2012.

Then Bobby Petrino crashed his motorcycle and things changed for Arkansas. While his replacement John L. Smith has had his share of success, he's not Petrino.

Especially without quarterback Tyler Wilson. The Razorback lost perhaps the best quarterback in the country last week with a head injury to Louisiana Monroe. And at this point he's questionable for Saturday's game with the number one team in the country.

As of Thursday evening, Wilson had thrown the ball around and was "feeling better", but had not practiced.

Thus, three bold predictions are a little tough to come up with. But here we go.

1. Wilson will play. The senior quarterback gets his last shot at Alabama at home. And, if the Razorbacks are going to have any chance against the defending national champions they will need him.

The problem for Wilson and Arkansas is this: He better be protected because Alabama will be coming after him. He will be on the run for a good portion of the day and he will get hit a lot. Don't expect much this Saturday from the future first round draft pick.

2. Wilson won't finish. You can see where this is going. With Wilson on the run and getting hit frequently, Smith will have no choice but to pull him for his own good.

There's a lot of season left and losing to Alabama is nothing to be ashamed of. Better to not mess with a head injury and the rest of their season; Arkansas still has a lot to play for. It's a long SEC season and they will have a shot at LSU down the road. Wilson comes out while Smith and his team begin to regroup and see what they can do with this season.

3. Whoever plays quarterback for Arkansas, the Crimson Tide is going to roll. Throw in Wilson's injury and a flu bug that has run through the Arkansas squad this week and I can't see them having a chance. Even in Fayatteville.  It's a shame this game couldn't have been played under different circumstances, before the Petrino disaster and the promise of a Razorback season had been squandered.

Alabama is going to win a lot of game this year. No bold prediction there. Just the facts. And there isn't much in the way until November 3rd... in Baton Rouge.
