I'll be honest with you . . . I heard Buck and Kincade talking about it during my drive home, and I rolled my eyes at the absurdity of it. It was just another preposterous bit of rumor-mongering to fill air time . . . until we got confirmation that Logan Gray is . . . what, exactly?
The early word would seem to be that Gray is as good as gone, but this may prove to be much ado about not very much; yes, Gray is meeting with Mark Richt to discuss his future, but we've been hearing all spring that he might make the move to receiver, and that such a position switch is up to him.
I'm sure Gray is disappointed at not nailing down the starting job, but all three quarterbacks were given equal first-team reps this spring, so no one can say he didn't get his shot, and the post-spring depth chart is hardly set in stone. Blake Barnes had a good reason to transfer; particularly in the wake of Zach Mettenberger's dismissal, Gray has far less basis for bolting.
