MIAMI GARDENS, FL - OCTOBER 03: Head coach Bob Stoops of the Oklahoma Sooners looks up to the scoreboard with less than a minute to go in the game against the Miami Hurricanes at Land Shark Stadium on October 3, 2009 in Miami Gardens, Florida. Barry Switzer is a college football coaching legend. The Hall of Fame coach still holds the record for most wins as head man of the Oklahoma Sooners, as he amassed a 157-29-4 record over 16 seasons. Unfortunately for Switzer, his record is on the verge of being tied (and eventually broken) by current coach Bob Stoops, who has 156 wins at the moment. Switzer is being a great sport about the inevitable loss of his record, and he should be after all — he has a great relationship with the program and wants to see the Sooners win as much as anyone. Today, he actually congratulated Stoops early on obtaining the record, and did so by slamming Iowa State on Twitter: Since everyone beats ISU at home, I want to be the first to congratulate @OU_CoachStoops on tying the record of 157 wins! #coachescabana — Barry Switzer (@Barry_Switzer) November 15, 2013 It certainly has been a rough season for Iowa State, as the Cyclones are an awful 1-8 on the year. But to be fair to them, their one win did come on the road, so not everyone beats ISU, even when playing host.  Oklahoma is looking to rebound from a 41-12 loss at Baylor, and Iowa State seems like the ideal opponent to help the Sooners right the ship. That being said, you should never count your chickens before they hatch.
