Sporting News staff reports Oregon State wide receiver Darrell Catchings will have surgery Wednesday on his broken right hand and will miss the 2009 season, according to multiple internet reports.   Catchings fractured a bone close to his wrist Saturday during a blocking drill. Initially, it was believed he would miss only 3-4 weeks, but the prognosis changed after Catchings visited a specialist Monday.   The junior caught only seven passes last year but was expected to be a key part of the Beavers' passing game after a strong spring. Catchings will be able to redshirt this season and play for two more years.
