The Ny Giants yesterday rapped up their two day rookie mini camp, at least the on field version (today they are in for meetings and weight lifting). Most of the drafted players did well as expected and some undrafted ones ( Maurice Evans and Sha'reff Rashed in particular) also stood out.
However, I don't read a ton into these camps, primarily since it is rookies vs rookies----most of whom will not be here in September.
On balance, it was however a successful camp, mainly in that there were no injuries. What the Giants coaches will primarily be looking for, especially out of the drafted players, is how they improve from this weekend to the next camp which is coming up quickly---and will include the vets.
